Bruce Moore is a retired Operations Research professional and was the owner of Moore Software Services, LLC, a provider of portfolio optimization software for bankers. Dr. Moore has extensive experience in loan and deposit rate setting to maximize loan and deposit portfolio performance. He is the coauthor of a U.S. patent for optimization technology, has received awards for presentations at professional conferences and is an author on time-variable fee setting.
In his role as Director of Business Intelligence at a $1B financial institution, he oversaw a staff of database and analysis professionals who provided historical reporting, charge-off forecasting, branch site selection, employee incentive plan and other services for internal customers throughout the organization. This team won The Data Warehousing Institute's (TDWI) 2002 Best Practices Award for Building Data Warehouses with Limited Resources.
During his tenure at IBM, Dr. Moore worked with numerous data mining and data warehousing clients as a data mining analyst and project manager. Prior to his work in data mining and data warehousing, Dr. Moore designed and implemented high-volume document imaging systems for large IBM clients.
Dr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He holds Master of Science in Engineering Management, Master of Science in Operations Research and Doctor of Engineering degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB).
Dr. Moore has bicycled across America and speaks to large groups about this adventure. He is a member of Toastmasters, an international organization for public speaking and leadership development.
