San Fransisco Federal Reserve Bank Blog

The San Fransisco Federal Reserve Bank blog provides useful information on regional and national economic trends.

Official blog of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco covering SF Fed culture and economic issues affecting the 12th District - the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Anchorage, and beyond.

  2. At the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, we are examining the ways that the increasing incidence of extreme heat affects the economy and community resilience. We’re paying particular attention to this issue given the number of highly impacted places in the Federal Reserve’s 12th District, which includes the City of Phoenix in Maricopa County, Arizona.
  3. Understanding inflation beyond the headline number is important for policymakers and economists. 4. New data continue to follow the path of a nonlinear Phillips curve constructed in earlier work showing the empirical relationship between inflation and the ratio of unemployment to job vacancies.
  5. Here’s a snapshot of a recent outreach visit to California’s San Joaquin Valley from Stephen Delay, Regional Executive of the SF Fed’s San Francisco branch.
